Top Priority Charters operates out of Venice FL. Running anywhere from 10 to 60 miles offshore, you will be able to target top species like grouper and snapper.
You will be fishing aboard the highly sought after 34’ Yellowfin center console fishing boat that is known and respected as a top level quality built boat.The boat offers a safe quality ride with plenty of room for six anglers.The boat is equipped with a private head “toilet “ onboard to make long offshore trips more comfortable.The boat is also equipped with vhf radio,epirb,and top of the line Garmin sonars and radar.With a comfortable cruising speed of over 30 knots we can get to the fishing grounds comfortable, and safe with plenty of time to fish!
Capt. David welcomes anglers of any age or experience level. He loves to teach children and beginners the basics and see them pull in their first fish but is just as happy working with skilled old-timers to bring in a massive haul. Capt. David will talk through your skills and your expectations ahead of the trip to build the perfect charter for you. Your fun is his Top Priority!
You will be mainly bottom fishing on your trip, targeting tasty table fish (Red and Gag Grouper, Red, Mangrove , Lane, Yellowtail Snappers),around various reefs and wrecks offshore. You will also have the chance to troll for fast-moving King Mackeral,Blackfin Tuna and Cobia. If there is a certain species you really want to go after, like Tarpon or Goliath Grouper, just let Capt. David know and he will do his best to put you on a monster.
All Top Priority Charters trips come with quality tackle and plenty of fresh live bait. At the end of your trip, your fish will be cleaned and filleted for you, ready for the freezer or the frier. All you need to bring is your sunscreen, your camera, and any food and drinks you want for the day.

Full Day Trip Offshore - $1,400
- Up to 6 persons
- 8 hours trip, starts at 7:30 AM
With the whole day on the water, you can head further out to catch much bigger fish in much deeper water. Fish 30-40 miles offshore for huge red snapper, red grouper, king mackerel, amberjack, and much, much more. With waters this deep, you never know what might take your bait!
3/4 Day Trip Nearshore & Offshore - $1150
- $1050for 3/4 day fishing trip up to 6 guests.
- 6 hours trip, starts at 7:30 AM
With a couple more hours on, the boat, you can head out further or spend even longer fishing the nearby waters for an even bigger haul at the end of the day. How far out you go depends on the weather, and you will usually be fishing 15-30miles offshore for snapper, grouper, cobia, barracuda, and seasonal species like tarpon and permit.
Half Day Trip Nearshore - $850
$800for 1/2 day fishing trip up to 6 guests.
- 4 hours trip, starts at 7:30 AM (morning trip) or 12:30 PM (afternoon trip)
Spend the morning fishing 5-15miles out for snapper, grouper, and cobia, as well as hard-fighters like permit, tarpon, and barracuda. Or head out for an afternoon of fishing and fun, targeting tasty bottom-dwellers like snapper and grouper, with plenty of barracuda and other feisty fish to give you some extra fight.

Captain David is a fifth-generation Sarasota native and proud father of two sons.He has been fortunate enough to get the opportunity to work on many local cattle ranches and even maintain his own herd of cattle.He has spent much of his life on his local waters fishing with friends and family.Fishing has always been his passion, and he made the move to a full-time charter business in order to share that passion and his local knowledge with as many people as possible. David loves teaching beginners and working with children to help them catch their first fish. For him, there is no greater pleasure than helping a family spend quality time on the water like he did as a kid.
